An excellent opportunity has just come up for Lantana Games! We’ve been invited by our friends at Playcrafting to bring Mondrian – Plastic Reality to PlayNYC on August 11 and 12 at the Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Bringing the game to this expo in particular will help us reach out to the kinds of content creation and game streaming communities that would be interested in playing the game, building, and sharing content in Mondrian Maker. This is an opportunity we can’t pass up, but we need your help.
New York is home to some major streamers, many of whom are confirmed to be going to the show. Our goal with Mondrian is to build a community of Makers, promoting, sharing, and supporting each other’s levels, art, and even mods. We would love to have the opportunity to show content creators at PlayNYC the game, take them through level development, and demonstrate how our new mod.io page can be used for finding and sharing levels, background art, and more.
This campaign is not going to be an easy one, and so for the month of June, we will be building our communities, bringing you more live content, more Mondrian updates, and even some new merch. We have updated our Support page a couple days early to reflect this new campaign. We are looking to raise $1540 for a kiosk at the show, as well as travel and badge costs. We also have listed out our stretch goals, which include various marketing opportunities at the show.
If you can’t donate, we would love for you to make some Mondrian memes! Here’s our first batch of template memes you can use to help bring your friends to our Support Us page. More on the way this Summer! Share your creations on social media using the hashtags #playnyc and #makeamondrian! We’ll share our favorites in an upcoming blog post.
There are, of course, many different ways you can help us get to PlayNYC. You can pick up a copy of Mondrian – Plastic Reality on itch.io or GameJolt, recently updated to version EX3.1, or even the original Mondrian – Abstraction in Beauty on Steam, itch.io, GameJolt, or Humble. You can visit our Redbubble or new Streamlabs store to grab t-shirts, mugs, and more. You can even make a donation (even a dollar helps!) via Paypal, Streamlabs, or Digital Tip Jar.
As always, thank you for your support, thank you for playing, and (hopefully) see you in New York City!
