Spring is getting nuts.
First off, apologies for the delay with MPR 1.0.9. Tech issues set us back, and all of a sudden lots of events started springing up. 1.0.9, or what we’re calling the Creators Update, is due out on May 7. Keep an eye out for it!

You’ve probably heard a few things about the Creators Update so far, but the gist of it is that the Gallery Mode is getting a gigantic overhaul. A dedicated UI will let you control nearly everything about the frame, colors, background, visual effects, and creating Steam Workshop thumbnails from right inside the game. The level of detail you can go into to show off your creations is a bit crazy. There are a ton of new features in there and we’ll go over each one when the update is live. Needless to say, it will be very handy for making Steam Workshop thumbnails, screenshots, or setting up prints.

Speaking of prints, we have EIGHT new items available in our Redbubble Shop, all made inside the Creators Update (with the help of some AI image upscaling, and we’re very happy with the results). These are art prints of Mondrian Maker painting recreations, including Mona Lisa, Girl with a Pearl Earring, American Gothic, Persistence of Memory, A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grande Jatte, Frida Kahlo, Creation of Adam, and Starry Night. We’ll be doing even more with these and other Mondrian Maker creations really, really soon.
For now, here’s a look at three upcoming events we’ll be a part of through the remainder of April and into May:
East Coast Games Conference – April 21-23
Danny will be giving a talk during ECGC called “Monetize the Modscene.” The purpose of this talk is to discuss ways game developers can create user-generated-content focused games and find ways that can monetarily benefit creators AND developers, how developers can encourage creative communities, and which business models are appropriate for which kinds of games.
Grab your tickets for ECGC to listen to the talk: https://ecgconf.com/
Razer Developer Conference – May 7

At this developer-focused conference, Razer will be offering an enriching slate of technology-focused sessions designed for the game developers interested in using the Razer hardware, software, and services ecosystem to enhance the gamer’s experience. We will be there to share both our original Chroma RGB video and something brand new. Game Carnival – May 11-12

Just a few days after RazerDevCon, we’ll be bringing Mondrian – Plastic Reality back to the Game Carnival! This Unreal 4-powered digital expo brings together gamers and developers from around the world to check out lots of hidden gems, network, and have a grand old time. It’s the closest thing we’ve got to a real convention at the moment, and Mondrian will be right there! Best of all, it’s accessible right from any browser. Sign up at the link below!
We’ll keep you up to date about new merch, upcoming events, and the incoming Creators Update as news hits! As always, don’t forget to pick up Mondrian – Plastic Reality on Steam & thanks for playing!
