Hi everyone! Bit of a surprise announcement today. After months of planning, plotting, printing, and profusely puttering, the physical edition of Mondrian – Plastic Reality is now available! This is only available on CD, so you’ll need a CD, DVD, or BluRay drive to run it. These can be easily found on Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, MicroCenter, etc. it for about $25-$45 apiece. Inside the jewel case you’ll get the disc with the latest version of Mondrian (1.6.4) as well as a Steam Key to access the Workshop, and a sticker!
Now you may be wondering, “… Why?” Well, curiosity for the most part. With all the talk about physical media lately, I remembered how much I used to adore shopping for new games at CompUSA. Even the bargain bin had some gems! So I felt like it was my civic duty to bring this game to CD, and find out just how much the demand is for physical games, even just as collectibles.
As of right now, the Physical Edition of Mondrian is only available at itch.io, and this first batch only has ten copies, so if you want one, come and claim one. If they sell quickly, I’ll get started on Batch #2.
Hopefully this is the start of bringing all of Lantana’s titles to CD/DVD. With any luck I can even help other indies bring their games to physical format too! If you’d like to see that happen, grab a CD. We gotta start somewhere.
